SPACE ACTS is an electronic non-fiction novel. The content is composed in the popular html source language. Any PC Windows computer with a web browser can be used. For those PCs without a web browser, the CDROM has the entire program resident using the popular application TOOLBOOK 3.0. The Toolbook user interface features a menu bar with numerous page navigation features..."forward," "back," "next," and other commands. However, the "arrow" icons on the bottom of each page are preferred for page-turning. Additionally, a search button resides on every page for quick finding of terms or subjects. Fashioned as a multimedia book, SPACE ACTS displays red text. When clicked on, these red-tinted words display hidden fields of pictures and narrative related to the surface story. Added to these "submerged" pages are video and audio clips. Icons positioned at the upper left of each page activate these brief movies and sounds. In order to fully utilize these clips, Microsoft media player at http:// or other movie player such as "netoob" at http://.... should be downloaded if not already installed in your computer. Most web users have like applications installed for accessing Internet media content.
The program is set forth, firstly, to be a "good read" regardless of use of the multimedia content. Toolbook permits the red text to be disabled for those perferring only reading the story.
